The original “suitcase story,” this was the first of 12 consecutive lookbooks produced for GRAMMAR around the world. Icon Sophie-Marie-Wilson suggested returning to her beloved Venice and shared not only her talents in front of the camera but her knowledge of the winding streets and canals. The resulting images remain a favorite of the brand.

In reflection to GRAMMAR’s introduction of tartan designs, the FW/2023 lookbook was photographed in the romantic city streets and evocative rolling hills of Edinburgh. A classic “suitcase story,” the full production, including local casting, location scouting, as well as hair/makeup and styling were all handled by the photographer.

The coastal cliffs off of the southern tip of Athens provided the backdrop for this cinematic and sun-dripped series for GRAMMAR SS/2019

Shot with model Eleni Tsavousis around her family’s home in the bush of the South Island, the lookbook contrasts the wildness of the landscape with the classic lines of GRAMMAR’s designs.

Boxes of samples and styling options were shipped from DL1961’s New York offices to Kos Island where the photographer had been marooned by lockdowns during the initial months of the pandemic. The Women’s and Men’s lookbooks were cast locally and production was provided exclusively by the photographer.
